THE STORY BEHIND POM & CO.

Hello! I'm Theresa Girardot, the owner and operator of POM & CO.

POM & CO. stands for something I think about every single day: Peace Of Mind.

I created this company for one reason: because the families around me were drowning in the details of aging parents' lives, and resources were limited to actually handle it.

People sometimes ask me to describe what I do. I usually say: think Mary Poppins meets Martha Stewart. I show up with a bag of tricks including technology, kindness and the unshakeable belief that there is always a way through. I stay calm when things get complicated and I leave everything better than I found it.

HOW I WORK

I keep my client list intentionally small. Not because I can't scale, but because the kind of attention POM & CO. provides requires knowing YOU.

I'm proactive, not reactive. The best work I do is the thing you never had to worry about because I already handled it before it became a problem.

I use technology thoughtfully.  From note-taking at medical appointments to detailed digital records of your home and belongings. I bring modern tools to a very human job.

I lead with kindness.  Every person I serve is a whole person with a full life, not a problem to be managed. I bring genuine warmth to every interaction, without exception.

I trust the process I developed. When things get complicated, and they always eventually do, I don't panic. I follow the systems I've built. That's what calm in a crisis actually looks like.

Discretion: What happens in your home stays there. I treat every household as a private world deserving of absolute confidentiality — without exception, without question.

Reliability: If I say it will be handled, it will be handled. No chasing. No follow-up. No wondering. My word is the only confirmation you need.

Dignity: Aging is a chapter of life that deserves support without condescension, help without loss of independence, and care without loss of self.
